The meeting took place in the Arenberg Castle on the Campus of the K.U. Leuven. It was a joint workshop between the NoE Softcomp and the small collaborative project Nanodirect. The program consisted of mixed academia-industry contributions.

International Workshop on Rheology and Structural Design of Complex Fluids

Leuven, February 7th and 8th, 2011

The workshop aims at bringing together an mixed audience of industry and academia around the following themes


  1. -Challenges in the structural design of soft matter with the aim of tailoring the rheological properties


  1. -Novel tools for the study and integration of nanoscale building blocks into complex fluids


  1. -Directed self-assembly of nanostructures by flow fields and viscoelastic effects.
